Go with the Flow

Lately, I've been paying closer attention to the rhythm of the weather. There seems to be a natural pattern including a few hot days, followed by rain, then a stretch of cooler temperatures. Instead of resisting it, I've started moving with it.The rainy and cool days are perfect for work and food prep. During the cooler parts of the morning, I spend time in the garden. When the heat arrives, a trip to the beach works as self care.

Now the mornings begin cool, warm up through the afternoon, and often end with rain. My routine has mimicked, creating a gentle balance throughout the day.

Another unexpected shift with my dog; who has started choosing the direction of our walks instead of following the familiar route I have taken for the past 22 years. Each walk mimicks the weather—longer or shorter, faster or slower, leading us down streets we've never explored. Along the way, I've met new neighbors, admired beautiful gardens, and discovered fresh perspectives in places I thought I already knew. By following these changing rhythms—of nature, of the day, and even of my dog—life has begun to feel more enjoyable, more surprising, and more fulfilling.

What rhythms have you noticed lately? How are you going with the flow?
